I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Genentech (Davis, CA) in Jan 2020
Interview
Fairly easy first round interview with mostly personal questions and some questions about my resume. I didn't have to do a second round interview but it was supposed to be on-site with a tour, and I am assuming would've been much more technical.
Informal, though they may do it differently each time. I had a 3-panel interview and was immediately notified within a couple of days that they wanted to move forward. As long as you are open to learning and can get along with the interviewers, you should be ok.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Genentech (Vacaville, CA)
Interview
The interviews were able to be conducted virtually which was convenient. The questions were standard apart from the one wildcard question that was asked each time. That was a fun addition of their interviews which always kept me on my toes.

Interview
Interviewer was rude and stand-offish, almost mocking. Felt like working there would be a very stressful environment just due to management. Explained towards the end of the interview that it could take months before being offered a job due to their hiring process.
