I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at PayPal
Interview
I was contacted by an internal recruiter via Linkedin. We set up a time to talk over the phone. In the phone interview the recruiter hardly asked my any questions and seemed very unprepared. If it wasn't for the job description they had sent me, I would have been completely confused why they reached out to me at all. The call was a waste of my time.
I was not surprised at all that I wasn't moved forward in the process.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2010
Interview
There were five interviews in San José and then three in Austin. The company paid for all expenses. I had a couple of additional phone interviews afterwards as well. Questions were very direct and more qualitative as opposed to quantitative. What were my expectations of the role, What was my strongest attribute that I could offer the company, etc. Overall interview experience was pretty standard.
