I applied through an employee referral. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce in Mar 2018
Interview
This was quite a long interview process but it was a great way to really get a full grasp on the position and meet the team. During an interview, both sides of the table need to make sure it's a mutual fit. I thought everyone I met with was great and it made me confident in my decision to accept the offer. The communication throughout the 7 weeks was fantastic. The HR contacts and hiring manager were always responsive and accessible by email or phone.
Here's a summary of my interview experience:
Week 1: The first interview was an informative call with HR to understand the scope of the position. I was also given a homework assignment to elaborate on my resume and provide examples of past work. I had a chance to watch the Dreamforce video and read up on the Salesforce benefits. The transparency is really helpful and there's a lot of information available.
Week 2: The second interview was with the hiring manager/ the future boss to have a more detailed conversation about the position and my background
Week 3: Three 30-minute video conference calls with different team members
Week 4: A 2-hour in-person interview in Chicago with the hiring manager/ future boss and a tour of the local office. I was told I would be asked to do a presentation and we discussed the topic.
Week 5: HR contact gave me a call to talk about the in-person interview and was transparent about the salary range and benefits. Salesforce was very helpful with arranging the accommodations. I flew out to San Francisco, had 4 hours of interviews including multiple 30-60 minute one-on-one meetings, plus a 30-minute power point presentation
Week 6: I received a follow up call from HR to talk about the interview. Two days later, personal references were requested. Two days after that, I received a verbal offer on a Friday
Week 7: I received the formal offer the following Monday afternoon. It took about one hour to review the documents and sign the offer. I gave my notice and I'm starting 2 weeks after receiving the formal offer.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce in Jan 2024
Interview
Typical set up. Meet with Recruiter, hiring manager and then 2 more rounds (one with panel). Very quick turn around. Discussed examples of situations. Thought provoking questions, good conversation about the role and Salesforce culture.

Question 1
Tell me a time when you dealt with stakeholders with competing priorities.
Painfully slow and confusing. I didn't know what the next steps were or what to expect. I expected better from Benioff's team and was disappointed in the results. I just wish someone would have followed up with me afterwards. Got automated emails and did not reply to them.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Salesforce (San Francisco, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
The interview process was very well structured. Interviewers were warm & inviting. Each interviewer seemed to be prepared & had done their homework about my background/experience. They shared personal experiences on working at Salesforce and how they had adapted to WFH during Covid
