I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Vancouver, BC) in Oct 2020
Interview
- Coding Interviews:
I usually like coding interviews....experience with EA interviewers was unpleasant.
First, a virtual whiteboard was used with no syntax highlight nor runtime. Come on EA, we are in 2021 !
Interviewer was focusing on useless details instead of the real point of the question: I found the answer instantly but interviewer wanted me to find a compilation error in my code during few minutes (A semicolon was missing line 29 !!!)
Interviewer did not understand his own exercice (why recursive method could produce StackOverflowException)
After few minutes of the first interview, I knew I would not want to work there... but had to finish this painful day !
- Interview with managers:
Most of the interview was about how I can handle pressure. I was surprised to discover that this kind of management still exists. Is that supposed to motivate me to work for you ?
