AGEIST & SEXIST company. Don't bother unless you are under 30. I am a young middle-age woman who is very physically fit due to owning and working on a farm. I am well spoken and had what I thought was a good interview. Nonetheless, I WAS NOT HIRED even for a few weeks in the busy Holiday period. In the meantime UPS was advertising like crazy that they needed people for this work all the way into December. I talked to someone who was hired, he said they new hires were all under age 30 and mostly men. He also said that the company was very short staffed (perhaps because the UPS pay for package handlers is barely over minimum wage and holiday hires get no benefits.) The only possible conclusion I get from this is that UPS New Stanton is an ageist company that refuses to give middle aged people (and especially women) a chance, even during the busy season when they desperately need extra workers. Don't waste the gas going for an interview at UPS unless you are under 30 and probably male.
