About the Role
We are seeking a Management Trainee to join our manufacturing team and grow into a future production management role. This position is designed for candidates who are eager to gain a deep, hands-on understanding of textile manufacturing operations, production efficiency, and people management.
The role works closely with the Production Manager, maintenance teams, supervisors, and cross-functional partners to support daily plant operations, ensure equipment reliability, and reinforce disciplined execution on the shop floor. Over time, the position will take on increasing responsibility in equipment oversight, production team leadership, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly in a manufacturing environment, with the ability to balance mechanical understanding, operational discipline, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
Mechanical & Equipment Operations
- Work closely with maintenance teams and production supervisors to develop a hands-on understanding of spinning machinery, production equipment, and supporting mechanical systems.
- Learn machine functions, operating principles, and common failure modes to support effective troubleshooting and issue escalation.
- Assist in monitoring equipment condition, machine performance, and maintenance execution on the production floor.
- Help track maintenance schedules, work orders, and follow-up actions to ensure maintenance tasks are completed properly and on time.
- Observe and supervise maintenance fulfillment on the shop floor to ensure safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
Process Operations & Quality Control
- Work closely with production supervisors and quality teams to develop a hands-on understanding of textile spinning processes and production flow
- Learn key process parameters, material characteristics, and operating standards that impact yarn quality and production efficiency
- Monitor production processes on the shop floor to ensure consistency and adherence to standard operating procedures
- Support quality control activities, including inspections, testing coordination, and identification of defects or deviations
- Track production performance, quality metrics, and process variations, and follow up on corrective actions
- Observe and supervise on-site operations to ensure compliance with quality standards, process requirements, and safety procedures
Production Operations & Efficiency
- Support daily production operations to ensure output, quality, safety, and efficiency targets are met.
- Monitor key production metrics such as output, downtime, labor efficiency, and waste.
- Identify process inefficiencies and work with supervisors and engineers to implement practical improvements.
- Assist with production planning and coordination to align manpower, equipment, and production priorities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to productivity, quality, and operational discipline.
People & Team Management
- Work closely with shift supervisors and team leads to support daily workforce management.
- Help enforce production rules, safety standards, and operating procedures on the production floor.
- Support training, onboarding, and skill development of production employees.
- Observe team performance and provide structured feedback to supervisors and management.
- Gradually assume direct people-management responsibilities as part of the development track.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Warehouse, Quality, and HR teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Communicate production issues, risks, and improvement opportunities clearly to management.
- Support preparation of production reports and operational summaries.
- Assist with special projects related to plant optimization, process improvement, and operational scaling.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience in a production environment.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) — required, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interest in textile manufacturing production management and plant operations.
- Hands-on, proactive mindset with willingness to work on the production floor.
- Strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage people fairly and consistently while maintaining production standards.
- Comfortable working in a structured, results-driven manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic data analysis skills are a plus.
Work Environment
- Full-time, on-site position at Fort Mill, SC (Charlotte metro area).
- Manufacturing plant environment with regular time spent on the production floor.
- Monday–Friday schedule; flexibility may be required based on production needs.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
