I thought I would be working for Xerox talking to The employees who work for the company boy was I wrong. Its more like a outsource call center thats at the mercy of a 3rd party. Not much decison making just take the heat for the client. Very Hard and frustrating client and work place. Alot of arguements on the phone and frustrated people due to lack of concern for applicants. Not worth the pay for the stress load and lack of culture. No raises, no permanant desk and in the begining they tell you its a permanant job . But once you except the positon its basically Project based and depends on if you make your numbers or not . Its a numbers game and not customer satisfaction. You WILLNOT be taking calls or working directly with Xerox it more of a call center positon 3rd party taking calls for a client like convergys corp or a temp agency. There are threats of being fired everyday and expect to sign your life away stating if you don't do this it could possibly happen. Training is Abysmal 2 weeks and mostly testing and signing documents for CYA , For the most part you hit the ground running with some support but not much. No escalations line at all whatso ever have to raise your hand and wait for someone. Which is pretty often considering job doesn't have a explaination for mosting issues . Starting pay is ok but it is stressful client and after a while you will feel you need more compensation. Benefits are only if you get signed on permanent after 90 days or longer no guarantees . Minimal facility Xerox doesn't provide anything for the employees at all not even forks or spoons or cups even. Coffee is there but no cups to put it in and barley any cream or sugar . Water is barely filtered and I mean barley and doesn't taste good . Its a really really interesting atmosphere to put it lightly. Some employees are working off tables and moving around constantly. No privacy when working nor when eating lunch no cafeteria just pretty much own your own. For the client we work for software programs are not up to performance standard so it tedious to make your numbers . You have to log your own calls which is another tedious measure which most call centers have the technology to do this . So most people are inflating there numbers to make it look like there doing more than they actually are . So if you want to feel stressed abit because your piers have 80 calls and you only have 50 Xerox is the place for you. Considering its hard to get some of these people off the phone for various reasons it amazes me . Its critical every day that you have so many calls a actual set number not a monthly average like most call centers. The place is micromanaged to the hilt you can't even sneaze in the wrong direction. Everyone pretty much makes the same but acts more superior. Every meeting was usually something that is going to change or something we are doing wrong and no time for questions. Xerox has also not technologically advanced passed any of the majors . Money isn't being applied anywhere not even the solftware systems. There infobank is a joke looks like a webpage from 1994. You can't see your actual deposit until the day of? Can't change anything without submitting forms . To request a day off you don't have a system for it you have to submit forms ? Its really a hassel to do anything there except take calls thats one thing they made easy.

Big company with solid benefits

Cons

Pay is not on par with competition and raises are very hard to get. If you don't get what you are looking for when hired you will likely never get it.
