I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Sears (Lincoln, NE) in May 2011
Interview
It was two part interview with one of the assistant store managers talking with me the first day, then having me come back in the next to talk to the manager of the position I was applying for. The first day the interviewer told me they didn't like to use the standard interview questions, so instead I was asked round-about sort of questions about my life to could apply to the job. For instance, I was asked what was one moment in my life that's been extremely difficult to deal with. I had originally applied for the cashier position, but one question I was asked was if I preferred my alone time at my job and going at my own pace, or constantly being attentive to a customer. They offered the MCA position for me, thinking it would be a better fit for me in their company. The second day was the kind of interview I was expecting, like describing my schedule availability more in depth, if I was interested in working past the summer, how I would describe my time management skills, what skills I could apply to the job when it came to working with customers and my fellow employees. I was given a tour of the store and the storage rooms on the sales floor, and when we had come back to the office I was then offered a job.

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Sears (Chula Vista, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Overall was a very pleasant and friendly interview process. It was two interviews, they said it normally would be three, but the assistant store manager was available to interview about an hour after the first interview was done. First interview was very basic and told me the basics of the job. The second kind of asked me questions with customer experience and asked me a question about what the previous interviewer had ran by me (job roles etc.)
