    Pros

The people here make working at this place bearable... at least we all got along and had a common purpose ....to serve our patients.
Benefits are ok....pay is pretty good.

    Cons

LONG HOURS....WORK UNTIL YOU GET DONE ATTITUDE... "mandatory overtime"... no shift differential.... pharmacy managers micro managing all the time... changing policies constantly...schedule is the WORST! they want you to be a team player, but the minute you say you can't do something, your a bad employee. NO employee morale building...no picnics with family, no "employee perks", they don't ever thank you for putting in extra effort, they just expect you to do MORE!
Management barely pitches in. Their idea is if I absolutely have to then I will help, or hounding you to work faster. It's like legalized slave labor.
Management us fill of BS... you come to them with an issue and they " listen" but nothing ever gets done or resolved.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees...they are the heartbeat of this company. Treat them fairly and less like labor

I worked at Coram full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Give hope for a bonus

    Cons

Many times a "bonus" program was hinted at or stated, but ended up with no bonus because of unstated goals at onset. This allowed employees to work even harder to reach for a hoped-for bonus that would never come. A phantom carrot.

    Advice to Management

Set clear goals and be sincere if a bonus is not available. Transparency is always better than a broken promise

I have been working at Coram full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    The insurance is mildly okay.
    Nationwide locations.
It's stable, like a old relative that refuses to die.
You makes you question your existence.

    Cons

Management is mentally abusive, expect to work long hours then get yelled at for working long hours. All they care about is numbers and money. Refuse to do anything that makes them human. Christmas bonus was nothing for years, not even a company organized Christmas party. They cannot comprehend a simple process without jumping to conclusions or understanding.

    Advice to Management

Pretend to be human. Understand that there is such thing as positive reinforcement. Understand a process and stop being a pretentious, vapid, arrogant, ignorant, pompous, rude and greedy "people".

    Positive Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I worked at Coram full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Overtime is pretty much guaranteed, and freely given out.
You get to work with some of the best compounding technicians in the business.
You are constantly learning new things.

    Cons

Cleaning. For hours. Every day...every week, and every month. Clean enough to eat off the floor and ceiling.
Long hours, not always time for breaks.
Must stay until last order is compounded, and everything has been cleaned to Federal standards.
Can become lonely, just you inside your hood, especially on weekends when there is only 1 technician on.
Management can be pushy, expecting compounds and cleaning to get done in unrealistic time frames, mostly those whom have never done either before and don't know the process.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your staff. They know their job better than you think.
Instead of pushing to get things done faster, go in and help compound and clean. Everyone wins.
Don't make policies without input from the staff -- and if you make a policy, you better be right alongside the staff making it happen, not just criticizing them for being unable to do impossible policies.
