    Pros

Set hours , weekends off (on call maybe 1-2 weekends depending on staff availability), techs can take on other none tech roles in the company if they want to move up

    Cons

At the time , unstable mgmt, lots of whiny coworkers got away murder. Each department has little room for advancement which means if you're not willing to switch "specialty" you may not get a chance to move into leadership roles

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like gold . One call out was devastating to the team, it is essential to not take the minions for granted

I worked at Coram full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The people were great
Lots of fun activities: food days, jeans days, etc
Great flexibility in schedule; easy to get time off

    Cons

Ineffective leadership. Managers never addressed issues with employees so bad employees drove good employees away often.
Salaries much lower than comparable positions elsewhere
Raises weren't guaranteed and, if received, were usually 1.5% at most
No accountability; if problems arose, those who were not involved had to fix the issues, so there was no incentive to improve.
    Unethical practices
    Poor communication, especially between departments
    General negativity
Employees hired based on being friends or family members of management

    Advice to Management

Honestly, a complete overhaul in management would be necessary for this location to thrive. Seek feedback from employees and implement suggestions. Address issues. Fix negative atmosphere. Improve accountability.

I worked at Coram full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Select few management, big building?, Nothing

    Cons

This could go on and on. This company is miserable. And CVS is not the problem. Recently high management came in and have been nothing but a disaster. They want you to behave like robots. You are NOT allow to talk, get out of your cubicle, change the heat in the building, listen to music of any sort in any form. If you make a mistake, like most humans do, you are disciplined like dog and have it rubbed in your face to make you feel as insignificant, worthless, and replaceable as possible. They always say they will have training for new instructions and yet it takes four months to have it happen. The pay is insane to work your butt off and deal with crap all day, it is NOT equal to other similar companies. In multiple years, and GREAT reviews I went up a total of $1.50. I was one of the best at doing the job and I could do any job and that's the thanks that I get. If you are over ONE minute late from traffic, weather, car trouble you get disciplined. Welcome to Colorado weather! The employees are working the butts off for absolutely nothing. I would highly NOT recommend this company ever. Better to pick up dog poop for similar pay.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employees, PAY them more, and get rid of the childlike rules and upper management.

I have been working at Coram full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Rapport developed with physicians and other clinical personnel. Challenge of complex therapies. Not involved with retail store non clinical headaches.

    Cons

Over-emphasis on metrics at the expense of clinical judgement. Ratio of techs to RPh's dangerously close to being over state regulations. Lack of teamwork between pharmacy and reimbursement depts leads to delays in shipments waiting for auth. Turnover beginning to affect morale.

    Advice to Management

RPh's in upper management need to start thinking like RPh's, not just swimming with the rest of the suits. Give us the tools we need and the backup to bring concerns to Sales instead of letting them run loose.
