I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Feb 2020
Interview
Very convoluted..
First contacted by recruiter and they dropped the ball several times to get the interview process started.
Second was finally given an email for phone interview times, spoke with a Recruiting Coordinator. I was given the expectation that the meeting parameters would be given before the meeting.. Despite 2 email requests, this was never given and I was grossly unprepared for the meeting format, structure.. etc
1st phone interview was with peer, someone currently performing the job function to evaluate technical aptitude(I suppose)... Passed, got over to 2nd phone interview with Hiring Mgr.
Again, I thought I did well; given I had no clue to the scope of the discussion... However, when they're trying to extract certain answers from a candidate in "scenario" questions; but without 'leading' the candidate to the type of answer they're wanting is very convoluted.
I was not given a 3rd interview and the process ended.. I believe the interview process eliminates great people with a wealth of education and experience; because of a guessing game of interviewing..
