I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jun 2010
Interview
The first round consisted of standard 'Interview 2.0' questions. No trick questions and no puzzlers. If you know your basic computer science data structures and algorithms you should be fine.
One of the interviewers asked me to code a solution to an array problem on paper and then read it back to him. This was very awkward as it took a while to dictate it back to him correctly. A shared whiteboard would have been better.
It started with an OA, and then after a few weeks, I got invited to four rounds of interviews: technical and behavioral at 3 of the 4, and behavioral only at one.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (São Paulo, São Paulo) in Jun 2026
Interview
Empresa extremamente clara sobre o que é pedido na entrevista e isso me mostra a seriedade. Minha experiencia foi positiva e tente se atentar a resolver o problema e não somente decorar padrões do leetcode.

Online Assessment is the first step in the process. I didn’t have an HR phone screening and went straight to the OA after applying. It was sent to me about a week after I submitted my application.

Question 1
The first question is LeetCode style algorithms question, and the second question gives a full stack repo (choice of Java, NodeJS, or Django) and asks to solve a backend issue which is causing a bug in the frontend. Unit tests must pass to pass the second question. You can run both backend/frontend indivdually or together
