I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment (Irvine, CA) in May 2015
Interview
There are several rounds of interviews, usually starting with a phone call with a recruiter. In some cases, typically with out-of-state candidates, an entire day can be filled with back-to-back interviews. For creative roles, there is always a test project and then, later, an opportunity to present your work to a group. Blizzard is known to take a while with its hiring process, unless it is an incredibly crucial role. Expect to wait a minimum of 1-2 months. The maximum wait time that I have heard of was 8 months.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Blizzard Entertainment (Irvine, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
I applied online, and a recruiter reached out to me about a week later. After the recruiter phone screen, I met with the hiring manager, game director, and lead role for my position. The final step was 3 "virtual onsite" group interviews with various team members for the game I'd be working on.
