Ford Motor Company Interview Questions

The interview was conducted by two Ford employees. The interview started with me introducing myself. Behavioral Interview - They mostly want to know how you would function in their workspace. The questions also focus on teamwork.

Online questions and then onsite interview. The questions are not too technical related but question your ability to think and process at the scene about a particular problem. They ask about 10 questions like such.

3 rounds 1.) recruiter hr person standard hr type stuff 2.) phone interview with some code to review plus several technical questions about am hour 3.) on-site with hiring manager and engineers. 2 hours with two software design questions with code. Between the technical questions was several behavioral questions. We talked very in depth about the technical problems. This isnt just a leet code question. It is design decisions, pros/cons of different approaches and demonstrating working knowledge of the language/languages. Overall I have to say I was pleased with the process no matter the outcome. - I was treated with respect. - no gotcha questions with bad intent. I had a few offers and decided to go with Ford because the team was very knowledgeable and made it clear there was lots of opportunities to grow my knowledge/career. Not to mention they were extremely kind and friendly(somehow this gets overlooked?)

I found it to be well thought out and felt appreciated as a candidate. It was a good mix of theory and practical. I would go through this process again with these guys.

Took a test online that lasted an hour. Got my results fast. I was sent a ton of paperwork to fill out. No formal interview. Everything was easy and simple to do.

The interview was very smooth and process was simple. There were 3 rounds of interview. It felt more like a discussion than being questioned. Ford had a motto of treating people with the highest degree of respect.

Submitted the resume on Ford careers, received an assesment after couple of weeks, and later after 2 weeks received an email from HR to schedule a call for HR screening, and later after 2 weeks received an email to schedule a call with Hiring manager, webex call was scheduled with 2 managers (Hiring and another manager). Hiring manager was very rude, he hurted my feeling and treated me as an illitrate or showed too much attitude towards me, I felt very uncomfortable and I couldn't answer the questions properly even when I knew the answers. I think this kind of people just builds years on their resume, not the behaior. Second manager was ok, he is just taking the notes when I am speaking. I am not sure why even people conduct the interviews and hurt others feeling, If they do not like the candidate they can simply reject them at the end. I would recommend this kind of people should learn how to treat others or stop talking to people, It just discorage someone.

Interviewer was rude and condescending. Asked about skills not related to job and did not give sufficient time to respond. The interviewer then looked visibly upset that I could not answer questions that were not even related to the job. Overall very disappointing interview.

Interview process wasn't so difficult. You have to take a test to prequalify for the in person interview. Once at the in person interview, they flew me to MI to do the interview. There wasnt many technical questions. It was mostly situational questions.

Includes online assessment, phone interview and in person interview. Come prepared to walk interviewers through the beginning to end of situations and what you learned / what you'd change about them.
