Johnson Controls Instrumentation and Controls Engineer interview questions

Johnson Controls is an US based building Automation company which shifted its Head Quarters to Ireland. It is one of the biggest building Automation company. It recruits Engineers mainly from INSTRUMENTATION, EXTC,Electrical and also CSE branches. When JCI visited to our campus SGGS IE&T,NANDED they have Criteria as throughout 60% for Instru,EXTC and Electrical.Job profile was EMBEDDED AND CONTROL.I am an Instrumentation Engineering student and will tell you my detailed experience in the process. They had three rounds for us: Aptitude Test : Total 162 students from all the three branches have appeared for Aptitude test. Apti contained Technical mainly from Sensors and Transducers,Electrical Machines,PID controllers, Verabal Ability Test,Blood Relations,A nalogies (Refer Aptitude Questions and Answers ) This time they have also added questions on General knowledge .for example: Which is the deepest point in the world? TR Round : 37 Students have cleared Aptitude Test and appeared for this round. For the second round they have called us to Pune AISSMS COLLEGE for interview. TR round.It started from morning 9:00 AM and my turn came at 2:00 PM : I knocked door slowly and asked the Interviewer “May I come in ,Sir?” .He nodded and offered me a seat. Then he asked me for my name and then for the resume.After observing my resume he asked me to introduce. I started from my native city and given my introduction. Then he started technical questions,Some of them are- Do you know Sensors? what type of temperature Sensors are there? Explain the principle pic thermocouple,? What is Seeback effect, Peltier effect, Thomson effect? List the pressure transducers? Working of C type bourdon Tube,How will topic convert displacement to emf? Working of LVDT. Etc. HR ROUND : 7 students have cracked TR round and appeared for this round. There were 8 members interview panel seated on a round table and a rotating chair is placed at middle. Here also as usual questions started with introduction and they asked many technical questions too. This round was a great experience for me and all my friends. Learned a lot.
