Interview process took two weeks. Interviewed with a recruiter on a Thursday. The next day(Friday), I interviewed with an operations lead via video call and went over the day to day and job responsibilities with some questions.
The following Wednesday, I receive an invitation to interview with another operations lead on site. I schedule for the next day(Thursday) since it was open. I get a response back from the recruiter saying they were Out of office and available the following Monday.
Here’s where the red flags get raised. I’m greeted by another operations associate who calls over the lead who’s supposed to interview me. She lets me know the wifi is down and the ac is also unavailable which is why they had fans running. *No worries, I can adapt even if this is my work environment.
What bothers me, and this is absolutely disrespectful, is she never even bothered to review my resume. No wifi, you were out of office the week before? I stood no chance in this interview. Complete waste of my time. Should I have brought a copy of my resume? Yes, but you’d expect in today’s world with technology that my resume would be available on your phone. All scripted questions, no cross referencing between my resume and job interview. I would’ve excused myself from the interview earlier if I could.
After the interview, she let me know that they would be interviewing other candidates and would let me know at the end of the week.
Thursday afternoon I receive a generic, no-reply we’ve reviewed your resume and have decided to move on with another candidate. This is the same email you’d get if your resume doesn’t make the cut.
I email the recruiter to confirm that this was an actual decision or automated response.
No answer. I email the next morning, no answer.
