I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Macy's (Nashua, NH) in Jan 2011
Interview
Applied for macy's online passed the questionaire a day later got the e-mail from the scheduling center to schedule an interview scheduled it for 2 days in advance (so they wouldn't have an excuse to say that they didn't know i was coming and they were unprepaired) When i got there i arrived 15 minutes early I went in and said I had an Interview right away the guy assuming a manager of some sort invited me In to his little 8x 10 office. I sat down and he began "interviewing me" He asked me questions like why macy's and not sears of jc penny and then went on to tell me what a sales associate did (as if I didn't have previous experience) all in all this interview lasted no longer than 10 minutes. I took note of no men working in the store except for him and the females that worked there were young and gorgeous coincedently. I desperatly needed the job so I accepted his petty offer of 7.25/hr and even though I had applied for a full time position was asked if part time would be suitable once agian being out of work with no income i accepted he left it at well i have numerous other canidates to interview I will give you a call by the end of the week with an answere..... I am in the waiting process now.. If I do not recieve a call within a week I am going to call coprate and tell them my grievance with this "Equal oppurtunity employer" It seems odd that these days the macy's Male:Female ratio is a 4:1 sexist agianst men whats the world coming to?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Macy's (Orlando, FL)
Interview
Virtue first. Then, at the store. Interview questions are not hard but hiring manager/s are sketchy. They posted part time positions but when I got into the interview they said their looking for people wanting full time job. So unprofessional to take my time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Macy's (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
Basic interview process. Applied online and was called in for an interview about a week later. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. No assessments needed. I talked about 2 managers.
