I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Publix (Dacula, GA) in Jan 2023
Interview
The interview was quick and simple and the bakery manager was able to outline the daily responsibilities. I was offered the job the same day and began working within a week of being hired on there
I applied online. I interviewed at Publix (Alabaster, AL) in Jan 2026
Interview
I had an unusual interview experience with Publix. I interviewed four separate times across multiple store locations due to internal transfers happening during the process.
While I don’t believe my experience is representative of how hiring typically works there, the process felt somewhat fragmented as leadership changes seemed to reset momentum each time. Ultimately, despite multiple interviews, I was not offered a position.
Everyone I spoke with was professional and courteous, and the stores themselves appeared well-run. However, the extended and shifting process made it difficult to maintain clarity on next steps.
Overall, it seemed like a situational outcome rather than a reflection of the company as a whole.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked about Publix reputation, dependability, and flexibility.
Very easy interview, the interview manager seemed distracted and didn’t know what to ask however. The store manager is a bit crazy at times but thankfully managers change quite quickly.
I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Publix (Winston-Salem, NC) in Oct 2024
Interview
After applying online had a nice interview in the physical store, just in the general office. Seemed to go well but no insightful questions were asked, pretty much can you work these hours etc
