I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Acworth, GA)
Interview
Initial communications were all initiated by me, the HR manager did not attempt to contact me to further the process, even and up to including after I was offered the position and was in the on-boarding process. The interview was the standard formulaic questions used these days, 'tell me about a time when you...'. I don't feel this gives the employer a good sense of the potential employee at all, anyone who can talk and fake their way through the interview can be hired, but it won't always translate to good performance on the job.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I was asked about my personal life, which I know is illegal.
I interviewed with two individuals (one was training on how to conduct interviews) and while I do not recall specific questions (it was over a year ago) I remember the interview going smoothly. The individuals giving the interview were excited because it was for a new store that was opening up.
EASY. Applied, set interview date and interviewed. Interviewed with store manager for about twenty minutes discussing the normal questions of background, pay, tasks, departments. Enjoyed the fact it didn't feel like a drill in questions and the conversation went smoothly.
