I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at UnitedHealth Group in Apr 2007
Interview
I first had a phone interview, passed that and then had various 1:1 interviews. There was not a lot of structure to the interview process and the different people that I talked to didn't seem to talk amongst themselves.

Interview
Easy overall and straightforward questions to understand my current role and how I can be a good fit. The interviews were kind, polite, and interested to see if I'd be a good fit overall with the company and team.
The interview process typically begins with a brief recruiter screening to confirm your background and align expectations, followed by a skills or technical assessment to evaluate your problem-solving approach and familiarity with the tools used in the role. From there, you usually move into a behavioral interview where you’re asked about past experiences, teamwork, and how you navigate challenges. The process usually ends with a final conversation with the hiring manager, focusing on role-specific responsibilities, performance expectations, and overall fit with the team.

Question 1
“Can you walk me through a time you identified an issue in a process and how you resolved it?”
Let me start off by saying I been applying to UHC for a year and a half. Thats 462 applications with probably 400 rejections. From higher positions to mid position interviews I always do very well. My educational background and skills always usually align. It May be very few I may not be qualified for. Most hiring managers or panels always make it seem their going to hire u and then u get the generic email of rejection. No feedback no nothing. Also I been told they tend to hire within before external which means a lot of times you don't have a chance. This company lacks in their hiring process and as far as im concerned all these companies are starting to hire very slow compared to when they were in the pandemic then they wanted to hire everyone because half.the ppl got fired for not having the shot or completely quit. Now their picking and.choosing when it wasn't like that. Majority of my interviews were with white counterparts as I am black and it's making me think they don't hire blacks much. I mean 462 applications with at least 30 plus interviews and I haven't received one offer and I do well in my interviews. This is starting to be a red flag.
