I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart (Tulalip, WA) in Oct 2011
Interview
I went through 3 interviews. The first time I was rejected when they realized I couldn't work as many hours as they hoped. However, I was later called back in and had 2 interviews on the same day. We reached an agreement about how many hours I would work and that I would largely work those hours on the weekend (because I was a student, however they didn't honor it). The interview questions themselves where fairly easy and standard, though I didn't like the fact that the interviews were held in their HR office in which 2 admins were working, a couple employees were on computers catching up on electronic training they needed to do and other people were coming and going as needed. It was a small room too, so I felt like I was in a fishbowl, with all these random people besides the interviewer being privy to what I said.
the interview process was straight forward..basic questions about scenarios, what i bring to the table. Overall, the questions were HR like questions that try to gauge your experience, skillset and willingness to learn.
Interviewer was a nice person. It was not very challenging or stressful to get through the interview. I felt confident in my interview that I would be considered for the job.
Easy to accomplish and not very difficult. Seemed if you used common sense you’ll be okay. Just be yourself and go in there prepared. Good luck! I didn’t get an offer but I was fine with that.
