    Great pay!
    Lots of room for advancement!
    Work life balance!

    Cons

    The only downside for me is that I love my job/store so much...I never want to leave!! Lol!

    Please keep doing what you're doing it really shows us you care and value us as your employees.

    Steady work, decent pay, solid company.

    Cons

    Management was always wanting drivers to do this or that. As if there isn't enough to do.

    Leave us alone. Let us do the job.

    I worked at Pilot Flying J full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Fast paced high stress, you meet a lot of different people. Registers are easy to use, most stores have dedicated workers and tenured team members. Help desk is a great help.

    Cons

    GM's are unqualified to lead a team. Corporate is focused on budget and sales not people. Safety is not a priority. Turn over is outrageous, new people train new people training schedule is never followed. Sink or swim mentality. Provide a work phone or on call pay if you expect GM's to answer their phones when they are off. Surveys are silly and a waste of time, you are expected to have ideas on how to make things better but upper management never acts on them.

    Advice to Management

    No one watches your videos, atom box notification is a joke. We don't have time to see what Ken has to say about sales. Stop comparing all stores to training stores. Stop taking hours away. How can people provide excellent guest service if they are miserable because there's not enough help. Regionals should run stores while GM's are on vacation. Also regionals should not be contacting GM's who are on vacation.

    I have been working at Pilot Flying J full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great place to work if you're lazy ! All you have to do is show up to get paid . Any kind of working while on the clock is not necessary, they just need a warm body in the building. Pretty decent benefits if you can stand it long enough with all the drama and favoritism.

    Cons

    The constant chaos of dealing with mostly unhappy people. Never being acknowledged or recognized for the hard work that you put into your job day in and day out and above all forget any idea of being part of a team because there is no team !!!!!

    Advice to Management

    My advice to management would be to not waste anybody's time with monthly Sparks or try to ignite anybody to be a more positive role model or team player because that exist in a fantasy world if you work at a Pilot Flying J then you can forget trying to be a team player because it is not going to happen! It's all hogwash !!! Your ideas and positivity is NOT welcome !!!!

    Pros

    Weekly pay and bonuses. at this store at least, good close knit management team.

    Cons

    Lots of call outs and little to no penalties for multiple call outs, Sometimes 11day straight schedule with no overtime due to thursday being restart of pay week.

    Advice to Management

    Enforce write ups or suspension for workers calling out multiple times or within an hour of shift. Compensation other than a thank you would be nice for those that sacrifice time and stay multiple times because of call outs that are obviously not good reasons.
