I worked at Universal Protection Service full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I received a good site from UPS. Depending where they send you to, some sites could be a hassle and not worth the money. A lot of these sites expect you to be like police officers. Overall had a good experience with this company..

    Cons

Not all sites are the same some of us get lucky.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees.

I worked at Universal Protection Service full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Most coworkers were friendly. Great entry-level job.

    Cons

I was a full time student while working full time overnight (I was hired with this knowledge given). The shift ended at 0800 but I had to leave at 0700 for class. Schedule was rearranged to accommodate this. Halfway into my time with this company, I was reduced from 40 hours/week to 16 because the director didn't like how we had changed the schedule.

Director wrote up officers for minor uniform issues yet constantly wore inappropriate uniforms.

    Close to zero training provided.

I worked at Universal Protection Service part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Adequate training; some friendly co-workers

    Cons

Hazardous working conditions; never actually met my supervisor; retaliation (fired) for reporting dangerous working conditions; was double-crossed by being approved for vacation via company e-mail, returning from my vacation to find out I had been fired and my e-mail account had been deactivated; mandatory to be part of the union but never was contacted by the union nor even knew who they were to dispute the dismissal. This company is HORRIBLE.

    Advice to Management

Act with a bit of conscience and professionalism. Your employees are human beings.
