I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Chandler, AZ) in Jan 2018
Interview
Went to an info session at my university and spoke to a recruiter who told me to apply online. About a month and half later was invited to interview and was flown out and briefly stayed at a hotel. The agenda for the day included sessions with HR and current Intel employees to go over company overview and benefits. The interview itself was 2 hours long with 2 interviewers at each 1 hr session. Technical questions are based on degree discipline candidate is pursuing (mine were all materials science questions).
I interviewed at Intel Corporation (Albuquerque, NM)
Interview
Process begins with a phone screen with recruiter, followed by hiring manager discussion, then onsite interviews consisting of several one-on-one sessions, where candidates are usually expected to deliver a presentation.
It was pretty straightforward overall. They mainly asked questions about my resume, previous work experience, and the projects and research work I completed during my graduate studies. The conversation was conversational and focused on understanding my background and technical experience.
