I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Greenville, SC) in Apr 2018
Interview
My interview was with the store manager and I would say it was semi professional. I felt pretty comfortable and it was done in his office. I was asked a few questions and the interview last maybe 30 mins or so.
Applied online, received an interview offer the same day which consisted of a walk of the department and setting of expectations. Orientation was then set for two weeks later, and with training included it only took about two days before I was able to ve out on the floor.
The interview process was structured and professional. It began with a phone screening where basic questions about my experience and availability were discussed. This was followed by an in-person interview with the department manager, where I was asked more detailed questions about my knowledge of lumber products and sales techniques. The final step was a brief meeting with the store manager to discuss company culture and expectations.
