I have been working at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

    - Very supportive of its employees. Daugherty continuously invests in its employees. The ICAgile partnership catapulted my career. Unmatched training program! - Great benefits that make it as easy as possible to work while raising a family. Daugherty leadership makes this a priority each year and you can tell. - Really appreciate the Health & Wellness program, and the free screenings, fitness center, and fun...

    Cons

    - Some growing pains as we climbed over 1,200 employees and highest revenues ever but I think employees understand there’s a balance when you have an entrepreneurial culture.

    Advice to Management

    - Continue to invest in current employees, it’s been fun watching friends take on more responsibility.

I have been working at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I absolutely love coming into work every single day. I feel as though I am surrounded by team members that have a common goal and are striving to be better each day. The culture is fantastic and it is apparent due to the growth this business unit is experiencing. Among the culture and meaningful work, the benefits are great and I could not be happier to have made the move to the Daugherty team.

    Cons

Have not experienced any thus far.

I worked at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Best health benefits around. Great training opportunities - free but you have to do it on your own time. Great people to work with and an awesome support structure in place at the client sites. Some of the smartest, most talented people I've ever worked with.

    Cons

You're a commodity. Bench time is paid but not a place you want to stay for long as the branch will try to place you anywhere to get you billable again, even if it means putting you in a position well below your skill set. No risk really to being let go, but again, not a good place to be for long. Only a handful of big clients and once you're placed, expect to stay there for years. If you resign, don't do it when you're...

    Advice to Management

The branch should pay attention to what some of the client managers and engagement managers are doing. They're doing everything they can to reduce attrition and get great opportunities for consultants. The branch is the opposite. Again, you're a commodity. If someone does the professional courtesy of giving 2 weeks notice, be professional and pay them. Especially if its someone who has been almost 100% billable for...

I worked at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

You learn a plethora of skills. If you are good, they listen to where you want to be placed. If you have a good team lead, they will help you advance within Daugherty. Learning sessions are offered quite often. You are encouraged to learn while on the "bench" as you wait for your next position.

    Cons

If you are not really good at what you do/do not speak up, you are treated as just staff augmentation. If you have a bad team lead, you will only be setup for failure. PTO policy is honestly not good as you are required to use your PTO if your client has a holiday.

    Advice to Management

Honestly, a better PTO policy would go a long way in showing your employees you care and don't feel they are just staff augmentation.

I have been working at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

From the CEO downward, almost everyone here is committed to making every aspect of the company better. Of course nothing is perfect but that is true of every company. The key to Daugherty is that is constant commitment to trying to make things better: from adding new clients, to improving communication, to improving employee feedback, to finding new ways to train and develop people, and on and on. Its the commitment...

    Cons

Consulting is a super competitive space. Clients are ever more demanding. Sometimes you need to be willing to take a role that is less than ideal but ultimately, it is all part of the consulting career path.

    Advice to Management

Keep the commitment to continuous improvement.

I have been working at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than 9 years

    Pros

    - Learning culture - lots and lots of training if you are driven to invest in yourself - Collaborative culture - Work with others to solve problems. Learn together, succeed together, and even fail together. But if you need help, ask for it, seek it, embrace it. - Growth pattern is finally in developing more junior consultants. Provides more opportunity to grown within and lead others. - Lots of opportunity to do different...

    Cons

    - Still needs lots of client leadership growth. A number of the Team Manager’s have never been people or business leaders before, and don’t get enough support to succeed. Some have no business being in the role. But there are plans to establish more leadership training, but it will take some time. - Owners can be challenging to deal with. They can be inconsistent in messaging, and abrasive when things are going great....

    Advice to Management

Be more patient with people as they grow their skills and capabilities. Be patient with new leaders. Help them more. Practice CSA2 internally as well as with the clients.

I have been working at Daugherty Business Solutions full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Since coming to Daugherty, I have grown tremendously in developing business acumen, applying the Agile mindset and building visually stunning and compelling presentations. Daugherty provides extensive training in a variety of fields for those who want to grow professionally. The people here are friendly and supportive and spur each other to grow.

    Cons

Because the Daugherty profile consists of leaders and go-getters, sometimes there's miscommunication around new competency initiatives.

    Advice to Management

    Continue growing avenues for communication.

The collaborative, supportive, team culture is simply amazing. Being a Daugherty employee is something to be proud of and knowing you are surrounded by people who genuinely care about you and you become part of the Team Daugherty family.

    Cons

Like any family, Daugherty's here for the long-haul, so characteristics for lifelong relationships do well here - smart, practical, patience, growth, resilience, learning, purpose.

    Pros

Medical benefits, free good, training, culture

    Cons

Bureaucratic personnel management system that keeps people down and is not appreciative.

    Advice to Management

You get 3 stars because there are companies that are better than you that deserve 4 and 5 stars. Stop treating people at their fair value level. Instead, treat them at their potential level. When valuating people, consider a broad market perspective - not just your perspective. The job market doesn't revolve around Daugherty. The performance review (at least for the Tech lines of services) needs to be conducted at least...
