    Pros

Good opportunities for those that work hard. Pay and benefits are good. The company has gone through a lot of change and now seems stronger than ever.

Counter fraud area is managed poorly with a lot of unhappy staff. staff are over worked and this seems to be a very negative environment to work in.

    Advice to Management

    Get a new department manager!

I have been working at Direct Line Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good Benefits, Flexible role. No Uniform. half price insurance for employees. free breakdown cover. all inbound calls. no cold calling. commission based on upgrades and sales.

    Cons

long Hours, weekend hours. no spaces for parking unless your a team leader which can be a nuisance. not very good career prospects.

    Advice to Management

pay structure can be better with better commision due to high volume of sales. parking could be improved to make it alot more fairer for all employees and not just team leader and managers.

I have been working at Direct Line Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Trusting management
    Flexible working
    Good work life balance
    Empowered to make decisions
    Good core and additional benefits
    Good salary
    Development opportunities
Opportunities to develop and move into different business areas

    Cons

    Constant restructure / Job insecurity.

Departments not working together, defensive and looking to prove own departments merit rather than working to deliver on cross function customer / cost benefits (driven by fear of restructure / rationalisation of own department)

GGS grading system in place but Salary banding vary significantly for same grade roles across different functions.

    Advice to Management

Communication (honest/timely) and decision making on company restructures and redundancies, needs to significantly improve.

I worked at Direct Line Group full-time

    Pros

    - Some really great people working for this company
    - Great customer ethics
    - Supported good customer service

    Cons

    - Didn't feel very well treated regarding my disability, although managers promised that I'd be given support I was pushed out of the door for disability related reasons
    - No progression opportunities - although we were a short term centre, we saw subject matter experts who'd been in the business for 10 years and never even been offered the ability to progress to team leader
    - Awful hours for call centre staff - exact opposite of what we'd been promised at interview

    Advice to Management

    Be honest to candidates.
