3 bbi interviews. Final is with hiring manager who will decide if your personality is a good fit. Easy process. Same basic questions at each interview. These are all done by video chat now.
- Name a time where you had a difficult customer
Can’t believe my company just DROPPED 10% of employees without any notice at all. Gotta find a way to pay for all those buildings to get us back in the office and make a “big splash” as a new CEO, I guess! It’s shocking and awful. apparently they picked arbitrarily as my amazing manager’s boss(no chance for a goodbye) even said she was one of the higher performing supervisors. We’ll see if I still have a job when I get back from lunch! (Or fired for posting this 🙃)Farmers Insurance Group

Video interview was on camera after receiving a phone call. Technical questions were asked about Computer Science topics like inheritance, classes, etc. I was asked the understanding of Java, Javascript, and HTML/CSS.
- Explain how inheritance works? What is method overloading?

We just got a new Chief Claims Officer. I know he has some experience in other companies. What do we know about him. Kevin Yoo. He seems to have had quite a few jobs in the last few years. Farmers Insurance Group Progressive Insurance Allstate AAA Club Alliance @fivesigma
6 jobs in 12 years. Not sure my department would have interviewed him as a job hopper.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Farmers Insurance Group
Right when the interview started, the recruiter told me I had good experience (four years) for the role and would be bumped for the next stage. 10 days later I received a notice saying I was not selected for the next stage. I was disappointed the recruiter seemingly lied to me. It is not a difficult interview and lasted about 20 minutes.
- The questions asked are typical STAR format questions. How do you structure your workday?

Very good job to start sales in. They help with training and teach you how to better use your common understanding of sales. I would very much recommend for those starting in sales.
- How many years of sales do you have?

1st interview on phone with the recruiter. 15 minutes. Just reviewing resume and explaining job description. 2nd interview - 2 person panel via video call. VERY lax and just casual conversation about work history and why I think I would be a good fit. I was it was to get a feel of applicants because there was alot of interviews they had to do. At the end of the meeting I was told I would hear back within a week. 2 days later - An email from the hiring manager I previously met with asked to meet for in person interview. In person interview - 2 person panel. They explained the job in great detail and set a real expectation of what it will look like day to day. Went through resume again and gave STAR answers but was not asked a question by them in STAR format. Great interview process - Good managers! I was told they will have a decision within the week. 4 hours later I get a call that I am the chosen one and I would be receiving a written offer by friday!
- With your experience, why are you switching companies?

It’s usually lateral move… commercial property usually can ask for more as they get larger more technical claims.

Quick and to the point. Agent owner seemed stressed and overwhelmed. Not too many questions asked. He had advertised part time work but then stated it was full time. Seemed to shift after I mentioned I had applied for a position that was advertised as part time.
- What are you looking for. Are you willing to wrok full time?

Wow, seriously? That's awful. Not that anyone wants to ever have their job eliminated, but at least with some companies you have a heads up so you can prepare. Those poor people being blindsided like that. 😔
