Basically I emailed pwc au support about my neurodivergence and anxiety. I asked whether I could have questions in advance for the interview, bring notes, and also mentioned I might be slow during the assessment (knowing there’s no time limit but the time taken to give an answer may be accounted for).
I received an obscure email about extra time (tho it’s unlimited time), and that I can’t get questions in advance. I emailed them again asking if I could bring notes into the interview, repeating myself. And they said, “you can take notes”.
Anyways that was one red flag since they didn’t answer my first email’s three questions, were obscure, and didn’t provide other options.
Second red flag.
In a separate email they said for adjustments they would call me instead of the recorded video assessment and to just say in the video recorded part of the assessment to say you will do a call. In that same email they don’t say where to contact them about a call.
So I emailed them saying I finished the assessment and for the video recorded part I did as they said and recorded myself I was going to do a call interview.
I said in that same email, I don’t know where to schedule the call but I am free Monday at 3pm or Wednesday anytime. They ignored my email and I waited Monday and nothing happened. On Wednesday… they emailed at lunch asking if they could call me or reschedule, but I was busy. So I emailed them saying I was free Thursday (tomorrow) at anytime PREFERABLY 10am. THEY WROTE “Thank you for confirming!
We have taken note of your availability and we will contact you tomorrow”.
So I assumed 10am, Well they rang up at 11 ish, and I told them I expected at 10am. And the guy kept repeating I said anytime… but he left out that I did say preferably 10am. I said pwc should schedule it and email me next time.
He never apologised sincerely or acknowledged the mistake just kept saying I said any time and kept asking if I wanted to reschedule again. He also laughed when I said I thought it was 10am. I have emails and a recording of the call to confirm their unprofessional behaviour. I feel very wronged. Don’t worry I made sure to sound polite and not rude when I conveyed my expectations that I’d get a call at 10am.
He went straight into the interview on call after I said we can do the interview now. And he just repeated the exact questions from the assessment, and didn’t really acknowledge my answers. Just moved on. So I rate it a 1/10. I also swear I heard a rooster in the background of the call.
