I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at PwC (Calcutta) in Jun 2017
Interview
The manager was too arrogant and even unsuitable to take the interview. She is totally unfit for the role after I entered the office. Everyone addresses her as AM. She does know anything about any role. She is quite stupid. The Hiring process should be improved with right people taking the interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at PwC (London, England) in Sep 2017
Interview
Screening call followed by face-to-face interview, which surprisingly featured a written test.
Asked HR to provide details of interview format a few days prior to interview - no response.
Interview was scheduled for 13.00. I wasn't collected from the reception until 13.15 as Hiring Manager was late.
HR were not present in the interview. Hiring Manager, who didn't seem to have any hiring or HR experience or training, had full control of the process.
To my surprise, I had to do a written test prior to the actual interview. Was told that it is a 30 minute test. Hiring Manager cut me short by 5-10 minutes to introduce a colleague in the team who also interviewed me and who had to catch a 14.00 meeting.
Interview was not very organised. I expected to get asked competency based questions, a knowledge test on PwC, key strengths, about why I am interested in the role. But only got asked about what challenges I foresee in the role and what my weaknesses are - negative questions! Was obvious that Hiring Manager did not want me at first sight.
Got a rejection email a few days later. HR would not give me feedback. Tried to chase them and been playing cat & mouse since then. Also sent a complaint email to HR listing the above and why I wasn't told about the interview format but no response.
To this day, I've received no feedback!
