I was so impressed the way the first round of interview happened. It was not a usual round per say, we were invited to a downtown location with music and food! We have to go talk to the SAP bosses and explain our experiences and they would get our name cards and the HR invited the ones who got most vote(i assume that’s how they processed). My excitement was up top with their approach, round 2 with deep dive on technical round, i went in with expectations of being interviewed for machine learning POCs i have done, but first few questions were not IDOCs and middleware questions, we moved past it. I was asked to talked abt my POC, I had my ML trained BOT handy where to disappointment the interviewer called in from CA, even that is totally fine, but here comes the next shocker, I explained him of having installed SAP HANA EXPRESS edition installed on my laptop, the interviewer stopped me and said HANA can never be installed on personal PC, yes to an extent it is true, but SAP has miniature or developer version or simply put HANA EXPRESS edition which is meant for that, for heaven sake i even have a POC done on that instance, i even had the laptop on hand to show, but he has called in and I m in their office. I tried to explain how it is available, but he was too consumed to believe it. He didn’t even get to S4 questions! But my time got over with him and i was denied a position. It is for good, i work for a end client now where Deloitte is our vendor!
