      Poor management, low pay. - Food and Beverage Hilton Employee Review

      - Looks good on your CV

      Cons

      - Lazy and imcompetent managers (up to head of department level). - HR promotes suck ups who have ticked boxes rather than experienced and capable staff. - Long shifts, poor work/life balance - Low pay and tips that dont find their way to your payslip. - Management do not care about their staff, only the numbers and are very lazy. - Management cant seem to write a rota more than one day in advance (is available on Thursday, starts the next day) which makes planning the rest of your life next to impossible.

      Great staff and lowermanagement. Last general manager was unfriendly and not very helpful.

      Cons

      I was supposed to get long tenure status for lifetime friends of family with my veteran status. Worked at Hilton 9+ years. Supposed to get 1 year for my veteran status (according to the handbook at that time) which would make 10 years. HR supposedly turned in application in August 2024. I even followed up and was told they were working it. It's been almost 2 years and haven't heard anything yet. Very disappointed and dissatisfied. Guess I won't be staying at Hilton Hotels.
