Usually a 3 dtep approach. 1- must have credentials to qualify- good schhol and GPA above 3.3 They will tell you 3.0 but really they can be selective. If you send a cover letter it must be impeccable- faults/issues there will disqualify you. 2- You will most likely meet with 2-4 different people. Keep your answers brief and to the point- be prepared for questions about the comapny- do your homework. have inciteful questions about the group you are interviewing with. Don't ask nonsense questions about salaries or where do you think the market is going. Think regulatory or recent company history.3- If you survive the first interview you will be asked back for a second interview this may be with 2 or more other candidates. have different questions - always be professional- no cursing even if the interviewer slips.. The interviewers are most likely your future first line manager or VP's. They may make the decisions or an Executive director may need to put a final stamp on the process. If you get he job they will let you know in a few days. It is ok to call HR on follow ups- not the interviewers.
