AI Engineer (Contract)

Summary:

In this role, you will play a critical part in building, maintaining, and deploying state-of-the-art machine learning systems that power next-generation robotic platforms. You will work at the intersection of simulation, hardware integration, and model development, contributing to open-source software and supporting customer deployment efforts in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects

• Architect, design, and implement test automation infrastructure

• Develop training and evaluation pipelines using cloud-based machine learning platforms

• Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applications

• Develop tools to enable fast deployment of novel algorithms in simulation and on hardware

• Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworks

• Integrate simulation environments and benchmark robotics models

• Resolve technical issues including debugging, patching, and supporting customer tickets

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience required

• Undergraduate or academic research experience in robotics labs, particularly working with faculty on robotics-related projects, is strongly preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field required

• Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design

• Experience with simulation environments or robotic hardware

• Experience performing in-depth troubleshooting and unit testing with both new and legacy production systems

• Experience in programming and problem diagnosis and resolution

• Background in machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Python

• Minimum 2 years of experience with PyTorch

• Minimum 2 years of experience with ROS2

Additional Details:

• Location: Redmond, WA (Onsite)

• Duration: 12 months

• Pay Range*: $55 - $62.50 per hour

• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours

• Job Status: Non-Exempt
