Job Summary
Responsible for managing and developing quality systems across the manufacturing and cultivation facility. Responsible for reviewing and uploading testing COAs. Initiate communications with the testing lab regarding upload errors or necessary revisions. Responsible for performing compliance label verifications, as needed, to ensure all information is included and correct. Occasionally, assists in performing finished good counts and inspections on finished products, when the Quality Assurance Technician needs support. Reviews of customer complaints and safety incident reports. Implements documentation, training or new processes, as necessary, to address and prevent defects. Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and ensuring corrective and preventative measures are taken to minimize workplace incidents. Manages the onsite safety incident reporting system.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all safety processes comply with federal, tribal, state and local regulations. Monitor safety incidents and near misses. Manage each facility’s SDS binder for accuracy and completeness.
Quality Assurance & Control:
Review production documentation as it relates to quality and compliance. Assist in quality investigations and implementation of corrective actions or process changes. Reviews customer complaints and collaborates with department leaders to prevent future complaints.
Data Entry & Accuracy
May assist in ensuring all cannabis inventory data is entered into the METRC/Acumatica system promptly and accurately. Perform audits and METRC/Acumatica entries, when needed. Enter COA data into Excel reports. Analyze and share accurate complaint data. Establish quality incident tracking and monitor operations for quality and food safety adherence.
Troubleshooting & Technical Support:
Aid other departments in better understanding and using equipment within production to maintain high quality standards. Brainstorm with higher management to problem solve quality and safety issues that arise.
Training & Support:
With the support of the Compliance & Quality Director, provide training to facility team members toward best practices and meeting quality and compliance standards. Ensure that all staff are knowledgeable.
Reporting:
Generate and submit quality reports to Compliance & Quality Director, as required. Maintain records for internal purposes and audits.

Education & Experience
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (biological sciences, inventory management, etc.) is required.
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience working with METRC or other cannabis tracking systems is required. Previous experience in inventory management, compliance, or the cannabis industry is required.
Cannabis Industry Knowledge:
Strong reading comprehension to become familiar with state-specific cannabis laws, regulations.
Certification:
OSHA, ServSafe, METRC
Proficiency with Outlook and Excel is essential. Experience with other software systems is a plus.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, SOPs, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to consistently count accurately is a must.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
