Pros

Alot of overtime depending on your shift. My shift only consisted of a 3rd shift for my area, but due to my transportation issues i couldn't stay on with them.

Cons

Too many supervisors in one department that don't really do anything. I think my store was lacking personnel for night cause when ever I walked onto the sales floor from the back area customers were always asking me about merchandise which I knew nothing of. Lack of training for new trainees. As soon as you get half way through orientation, they try and pull you away to get you working leaving you to try and figure out when is a good time to go back and finish your mandatory orientation on the computers. When I was hired majority of the stores were only hiring part time. I think they do this to be slick so it will take forever for you to earn up to your benefits that your promised.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
